Small Group Guitar Lessons for Kids 5-8 Yrs. In-Person

Wednesdays, July 15 - August 5

Space limited to 5 students. Paid registration for all 4 weeks required.

Ages 5-8
Cost: $40

Students must already be at least 5 years old when class begins.

This is a drop-off class. Grownups will be asked to wait outside of the classroom (although you can still hear everything from the lobby and are welcome to peek through the window to see us in action).

No guitar needed for this series! Classroom guitars are provided through a generous donation by the Neal Casal Music Foundation.

No experience required.

Small group guitar lessons with Amy Laber (Gardiner Library’s “Miss Amy”). Beginner guitar lessons for young children with a gentle, playful approach. We will learn the parts of a guitar, and explore basic musical concepts such as beat, rhythm and pitch. Students will approach learning individual notes on the guitar and simple chords.

Starting guitar lessons at an early age can help children to develop patience and self-confidence, improve coordination and concentration, learn a new skill, and make new friends!

Amy is a singer-songwriter, early childhood music specialist, and children’s librarian. With over 20 years of experience making music with young children, her approach is patient, caring, encouraging and fun!
