Bitters Tincture Making with Amber Merkens In-Person

Cost: $15 Registration required. Bring your own sterilized half-pint size jar with a lid, all other materials provided
Bitters are back and our bodies are better for it!

Once a daily part of life, bitter herbs have supported digestion, metabolism, and overall vitality for generations- but modern living has nearly pushed this powerful flavor aside.

This hands-on class is your chance to rediscover the magic of bitter plants and why herbalists love them, while making your very own bitters tincture blend to take home. You’ll also discover how bitters add depth and complexity to cocktails and mocktails, making them as enjoyable as they are supportive.

Amber Merkens is a clinical and community herbalist with a background in dance, performing arts, and birth arts. She offers private holistic health consultations and facilitates workshops in the Hudson Valley and NYC. Amber is a graduate of the ArborVitae School of Traditional Herbalism, where she now serves as Clinic Director, and was formerly the Resident Herbalist for the Alchemist’s Kitchen.
