Mah Jongg for Beginners with Misha Fredricks In-Person

Registration required online if registering for full series. Come to any or all of the classes (7/20 - 8/10).
Cost: $40 for full series
Drop-ins welcome. Pay at the library (cash, check or card).
Cost: $10 for drop-in
Mah Jongg cards sold separately at the library for $15 each.

Join Misha Fredericks, a local Math tutor and Mah Jongg enthusiast, for a four-part series to learn how to play American Mah Jongg - a fun and addictive game. Ages teen & adult
Class One 7/20
We will learn the names of the tiles as well as important terms that are part of the game.
Class Two 7/27
We will learn about tile combinations on the 2025 card and begin practicing making hands. Prerequisite: Class 1 or prior knowledge of tiles
Class Three 8/3
We will continue forming hands and begin to play Mah Jongg. 
Prerequisite: Class 1 or prior knowledge of tiles
Class Four 8/10
We will play Mah Jongg and discuss strategies to play more effectively, win hands, and block opponents from getting Mah Jongg. Prerequisite: Class 1 or prior knowledge of tiles
