Tapestry Weaving Workshop with Courtney Salerno In-Person

Cost: $25 (payment required to reserve a space)
Learn the basics of frame loom tapestry weaving and create your own woven wall hanging in this beginner weaving workshop led by Courtney Salerno. Courtney will bring some finished pieces she's created to help evoke some inspiration and for you to get ideas for your process. During this class you'll learn:
- how to set up the warp thread on the loom
- weaving stitches including rya knots, rya loops, tabby weave, pile weave, and soumak weave
- how to add fringe
- how to weave with fibers of various weights and textures
Leave with a small wall hanging and the skills to create more on your own. Registration includes all the materials necessary to make a small wall hanging, including a loom, warp thread, yarn and dowel for hanging.  If you'd like to continue your weaving journey, there will be the option to purchase the materials at the end of class.
