Botanical Watercolor Class with Betsy Jacaruso In-Person
Cost: $20. Payment due when registering to reserve your spot.
Registration ends March 22
In this 2-hour class instructor, Betsy Jacaruso will guide the students in interpreting a still-life from photo reference to a successful botanical composition. We will explore various watercolor techniques, color mixing, and value while encouraging each artist’s individual style and
sensibility. Our goal is to refine form through shadow and light, and create an organic interpretation of the beauty of botanicals.
Watercolorist, Betsy Jacaruso, received her BFA with honors from the Pratt Institute of Art and Design. Through the years, she has gained the reputation for being not only a talented painter, but also a gifted instructor who teaches drawing and painting techniques as a way of realizing individual vision. Her students find her mastery of watercolor painting invaluable in the process of learning to handle the complexities of the medium. Her current work explores atmosphere and luminosity in landscape, and has been featured in both regional and international exhibitions, as well as represented in private collections throughout the United States and Europe.
